Our math topics for kindergarten learners are designed to follow closely the Common Core standards for math for kindergarten pupils.
Who is taller?
Look at the heights of two people and say who is taller
Which weighs more?
Look at the weights of two objects and pick the one that is heavier
Double the height
For each set of items, pick the item that is double the height of the named item
Half the height
For each group of people, pick the person who is half the height of Sam
How full or empty is it?
Choose the words that describe how full or empty the container is
Half full: more or less
Decide if each container is more than half full, less than half full or exactly half full
Measure volume
Look at each container and decide the volume of liquid by reading the scale
Measure length
Identify the correct length for each red line by reading the scale in centimetres
Tell time: on the hour
Use the clock to choose the correct time
Half past the hour
Use the clock to choose the correct time
Who runs faster?
Compare the race times of 2 runners to find the faster runner
Earlier and later
Compare times for journeys and actions and say who will arrive or finish earlier or later
Order chronological words
Put language like today, yesterday, first, last etc. in the correct chronological order

Put these days of the week in the correct order
Order months of the year
Put these months of the year in the correct order

Put these years in the correct order from earliest to latest
Value of coins
For each pair of coins identify the one that is more or less valuable
A topic is selected at the beginning of a session at Free Math Games and will be remembered when you move between games or activities. The math for the topic is carefully constructed to match the elementary math level commonly taught in US schools. This means that you as an elementary pupil should see similar math problems to those you are seeing at school (if you are at school) for any particular subject. Click on the "1. Start" button in the top navigation bar - that brings you to this elementary level topic selection page. On the topic selection page you will see that the topics are divided up:
Since you are currently within the elementary section of Free Math Games you will see the elementary topics. The elementary grades will have loaded. Choose your grade. The broad categories available will load. Click on a category to see the available sub-categories and topics.
For example, if you choose fifth grade, then the category: "Fractions" you will be offered a choice of fraction sub-categories and topics suitable for Grade 5. Click on each sub-category to view the available topics.
When you click on the name of a topic, the topic will load into the lesson page (once a topic has loaded it will be available for all activities and will not have to be downloaded again) and the lesson start page will be displayed. You can choose to do the lesson or jump immediately to the games using that topic.
