6th grade / Geometry & measures / Circle / Properties / Parts of the circle 1
The diameter of a circle is its maximum width which is always a line that passes through the center of the circle.
The radius of a circle is the distance from the center of the circle to the edge. The radius is always exactly half the length of the diameter.
The circumference of a circle is the length of it's perimeter. It has been known since the time of the ancient greeks that the circumference of a circle can be calculated if you know it's diameter or radius, and the value of π (pi).
To calculate the circumference from a given diameter, use the formula:
C = πd (where d is the diameter).
To calculate the circumference from a given radius, use the formula:
C = 2πr (where r is the radius).
With our Duck shoot math game you will be practicing the topic "Parts of the circle 1" from 6th grade / Geometry & measures / Circle / Circle. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to identify parts of a circle: radius, diameter, circumference; calculate radius, diameter.
DUCK SHOOT is a fun game to learn math where you attempt to knock over all the fairground ducks in each level. In the first level there are only 6 ducks but by level 10 there are 24 fast moving "quackers quacking"...
